Hello,
I have bought motosurf a3100 from ebay, which has chinese interface.
So, is there any possible way, that I change language to english?

I have a friend which has the same model, but it is on english, so can he in any way extract his rom, and that I try to flash my mobile with that rom?

Partially, I switched to English interface.
I set registry settings
* HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\nls\DefaultLCID : 1033
* HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\nls\SystemLCID : 1033
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\MUI\CurLang : 1033

Home screen (Today), Opera and some apps change language to English.
But if I set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\MUI\SysLang to 1033, operating system can't boot, helps only a hard reset.

I don't think that we can change language of windows
so we have to wait for some english ROM to leak...

89 files total. In Chinese OS total volume of files ~2 MB. In English I think less.
Files placed in ROM, have the system attribute, but are available for reading.

is there any way to copy these files, becouse some files are read only, and can't be copied

Use Total Commander (freeware) to copy files to memory card. After you copy, remove system and hidden attributes from files on the card.

so did any of u guys get this to work? o ya and how did u hard reset the phone? another question is by doing the registery hacks, did most of the phone lang become english?

ps btw im the one who dumped my english files. if u need them i can send them all to you but i think i already have on mod my moto forums... u guys names seem familiar.
