I just got an e-mail from the qtopia mailing list about pricing and availability of the greenphone ( info here )...
Well anywho, here's the mail:

We are happy to announce the licensing and pricing options for
Qtopia Greenphone.

SDK variants

Greenphone SDK Professional Components
- Qtopia Greenphone device
- Full Qtopia Phone Edition source code
- Platform binaries and header files
- Commercial license
- Access to standard Trolltech support

Greenphone SDK Light Components
- Qtopia Greenphone device
- Qtopia Phone Edition applications source code
- Platform binaries and header files
- Commercial license
- No access to Trolltech support

Greenphone Community SDK Components
- Qtopia Greenphone device
- Qtopia Phone Edition applications source code
- Platform binaries and header files
- License to develop open source software

Greenphone SDK licensees will have access to periodic software
updates to help ensure they maximize benefit from the latest Qtopia
developments.

Greenphone Pricing

The Qtopia Greenphone development device itself costs $695 USD (not
incl. tax) plus shipping and handling and must be ordered in
conjunction with an appropriate SDK license, as follows:

Greenphone SDK Professional
- Development device $695 USD
- Current Qtopia Phone Edition Professional license holders can
purchase the development device separately as a supplement to their
existing license.
- License fee: There are various licensing options for Qtopia SDKs.
- To help you make the best purchase decision, please contact sales
when you are ready to discuss an order.

Greenphone SDK Light
- Development device: $695 USD
- License fee: $195 USD
- A maximum of 1 device per license is permitted.
- Total cost: $890 USD + shipping/handling and applicable taxes

Greenphone Community SDK
- Development device: $695 USD
- License fee (GPL): $0 USD
- Total cost: $695 USD + shipping/handling and applicable taxes

Devices are expected to ship starting September 25th.

so...700$ without tax for the opensource sdk... ouch
so anyway.. back to my question.. is anybody here getting it? it seems so great but unfortunately i don't have any money at the moment... would be nice to have a good review etc...
