    Talking Kernel hurts firmware

When I self compiled some kernels and loaded them up with genblob, one was stuck at boot time.
After this I could upload any kernel but my firmware seems broken. Also I have a new application FM Radio but my phone doesn' t have radio. It's funny or?

    Have you found the reason?
    Kernel too big?
    Is the FM-Radio working

The Kernel was not to big it is more that the kernel source was not designed for gps version. I did not analyse what realy happend to the firmware. I reflashed full firmware to fix it.
The FM-Radio is only a link and was not working
But the sources included a camera driver. I tried to adapt it to the other source. However the camera application was able to get one picture after that it hangs
Now I will see if I can find a way to get it working. One kernel source from a1200 has also included the driver.

While I was playing with R541L7 kernel in a A1200i(R532L4), my firmware was corrupted too (battery problem, i solved with full flash) ... One reason is the different mapping of the flash ... I adapted the mapping on the new kernel, but doesn't work ... must be more code to be adapted ...

I think A1600 have the same difference....
