Installation on Z8 Symbian UIQ 3 phone

Hi,

I'm not that technically minded...

Anyway I own a Z8 and when trying to install software from internet sites (games etc) I always get the message - Component failed security check. Cannot install. This happens even from "reputable" sites.

The phone is connected via USB 2.0 to a new PC running XP Pro.

Is the security set too high on the phone? And if so where? or is it something else.

Motorola Z8 has uiq 3.1, hence it is difficult to find application and games for this phone. developements on uiq3.1 are still under testing. WWW.Motosmartphones.com, will give you which applications and games currently can be installed on Z8.

So it's not backward compatible with UIQ 3.0 then?
