Backup/RestoreNow, lin scripts for backup and restore pim.

Backup/RestoreNow for A780/E680i Version 0.4

BackupNow and RestoreNow is linscript for backup/restore your
personal data in Motorola phone A780/E680i such as contact, sms, mms,
email, calendar, and work. This script will backup and restore native.db
in ezxlocal/sysDatabase.

Optional Requirement.
- Install ezxdialog.mtf to display backup/restore messages by Dialog.

How to backup pim data
1. Tap on BackupNow.lin. you 'll get beep sound and dialog message
"To confirm backup data, please tap on go_BACKUP_pim_data.lin"
2. Tap on go_BACKUP_pim_data.lin to confirm backup process.
3. After backup procss complete you 'll get 2 beep sounds and dialog message
"Data was completely backuped."

*** BackupNow 'll save backuped file in folder-name Backup in MMC (/mmc/mmca1/Backup).
The lastest backuped file name is PIM.bak.
Previous backuped file 'll rename to PIM.bak.1, PIM.bak.2, PIM.bak.3
*** Beware BackupNow does not delete old backuped file.

How to restore pim data
1. Tap on RestoreNow.lin. you 'll get beep sound and dialog message
"To confirm restore data, please tap on go_RESTORE_pim_data.lin"
2. Tap on go_RESTORE_pim_data.lin to confirm restore process.
3. After restore procss complete you 'll get 2 beep sounds and dialog message
"Data was completely restored, please reboot your phone."
4. Reboot your phone and all data 'll be back.

*** RestoreNow use only PIM.bak to restore data.
Try to rename your backuped file if you want to restore older backuped file.

Good work eakrin.
BU&RS seems to work fine.
I just had some trouble getting the dialogs on my screen. This has something to do with de mtf-file.
How do I install this file?
Tapping it in the phones file-browser does not work. So I manually unrar-ed them and copied them to the right dir.
Now it works with dialogs and all but I'd like to know the official way of dealin with mtf-files.

On A780 you need MTF installer to install them. You can find some where in this forum. Or you can use my new mtf installer instead.

mtf installer is only extract and copy files into the same folder in mtf file.

I try to use mtf version of Yours compiled ezxdialog binary as by Your sugestion, and result is :
./ezxdialog : relocation error ./ezxdialog undefined symbol :
-ZN11ZMainWidgetC2ERK7QStringbP7QWidgetPKcj
(Again the same problem with libraries compability on E680 and E680i phones).
Can You resolve this as to cp the wright binary files in:
/diska/.system/QTDownLoad/audanalyzer &
/diska/.system/QTDownLoad/ezxdialog

ezxdialog cannot work on E680. But My Backup/RestoreNow scripts didn't test on E680.

Backup/RestoreNow only tar and untar native.db native_id.db and log.* at ezxlocal/sysDatabase.

i'm not sure what you mean by the .mtf version of ezxdialog, i didn't think i made an mtf version (it was intended to be a little binary that can be called from system (or other ezx) code and therefore intended to be placed in the ../bin/.. path somewhere rather than a QT app..

i'm still away from home, but when i have a chance i will try to include the necessary lib, but i'd still be concerned that somewhere along the way (between the e680i lib i link to explicitly and the ezx app manager running on the phone (e680)) there will still be conflicts.

OK, You are wright about posting the mtf installation!
It was posted by eakrin I sopouse?
But however I check between mtf installed ezxdialog binary and installation on the phone in folder:
/diska/.system/QTDownLoad/ezxdialog
ezxdialog has same size and date of creation. As I know eakrin did mention Your efforts on this "Thanks to rpconnect".
About the conflict between E680i lib and ezx app manager in E680 please try to resolve this !?

have you tried to recompile the source (either the audanalyzer or ezxdialog) using the libs in the e680?
