Backup/RestoreNow is only zip your datafile by tar and gzip. If your restored contact work another path should work too. ocz it store in the same file. and i never flashed my phone before. pls try to restore with another bak file

I am not sure what you mean. Restoring contacts is fine...but, it does something to my bluetooth and calendar. 8O

I mean contact data and calendar are in the same file. if contact data is fine calendar should be fine too. but i don't know each firmware have a difference in its native.db file.

try to backup this current stage and master clear to get a new fresh native.db from phone. and try to use bluetooth and calender to check your flashed firmware. if it is ok then all error is from old data.

if data is error try to backup to MPT, master clear and restore back from MPT.

if data not error pls check your firmware.

Thanks for the reply eakrin. I have tried the procedure of backing up the data and restoring using RestoreNow.lin after I flashed the new firmware. I have problems with bluetooth and calendar. Probably I need to do Master Clear. Any idea of what code I need to enter for Master Clear?

Also, I have tried MPT. After restoring with MPT, I do not have problems with Bluetooth and Calendar.

Thanks for the quick replies. Appreciated very much.

    thx for the software
    i followed it all. successfully.

and i copied my pim.bak to my PC.
    my question is,
can i extract the data? like the contacts and the sms?
should i use another software to extract it?

    thx for the help.

you can extract it with tar and gzip program. in windows I use 7Zip.

But only extract it to files. you cannot extract SMS, calendar, or others that are in native.db file. we doesn't have API to read it.

to extract sms and contacts you can use phonedump.
    unzip to folder
    copy native.db to the folder
    run myphonedump.exe
