INFO: Difference between ROKR E6 and ROKR Z6

I've read reviews from different popular review sites for mobile phones. Good so far. But I want to hear more from the MOTO experts and the users.

So comparing ROKR E6 and ROKR Z6, which one will you choose?

Btw, forget about the "PDA" aspect of E6 so we can fairly compare it with Z6.

A Guide:
Best Camera?
Best Sync functions? (calendar and stuff)
Which one is faster?
Are both capable of being modded?
Which one has more modding support from the MOTO Community?
Best Sounds overall?
How's the calls, you hear yourself or something?
How's the phonebook?
and any other stuff you want to add.


Question:
1) Both are "Linux OS"? I've been reading that E6 is "linux-based" while Z6 "Linux OS", what's the difference?
2) What's the difference between EZX and LJ, aren't both Linux-Java combination?
3) Compatible with Google Android? (Sorry haven't researched much about Android yet)


Thanks to all who will reply. I am torn between the two models. I need the PDA feature of E6 but with no hardware keys is a con. I like the voice stuff of Z6, and a con for me is it doesn't have a 3.5mm jack (it's so hard to find ear/headphone replacements here in the Philippines for Moto phones).

So I am looking for first-hand experience or reviews not influenced by "this is my work, free phone, I should be somewhat lenient with my review".

Btw, I'm from the Philippines, and E6 and Z6 are available here.

I think it's a relatively vague question, for I doubt any single person will own both the phones, that too which are so similar to each other. Your best bet is to look at the features/functional specs and decide. I mean, it's not a "sky falling on my head" situation if one phone takes half a second more than the other to open the phonebook.

On a personal note, I use the E6 and I have relatively no complaints with the phone. For me, the touchscreen is the killer factor, hence i'd vote for the E6. But you said you wanted to keep that out of the comparison.

I am a ROKR E6 user, and its been almost 2 months since i bought this phone.
If you are looking forward for a good music and video phone, and i truly believe that e6 should be your choose, the sound quality can definitly be improved with the help of applications(rockbox, exmms) available here on this site.
and as far as keys are concerned, there is no problem while dialing numbers, but messaging with the stylus might feel a bit odd initially but its completely convenient with a bit of practice, moreover if you dont like using the stylus, there are applications available which allow to type msg with your finger.thumb (iphone sms).
As far as speed is concerned i think e6 is good, cant say about z6.
Phonebook and synchronization is again good in e6.
Just keep in mind that you can transform your E6 into an entirely different thing with loads of add ons. To be precise it is an Iphone with easy to use and modify features.

All I can say is that those two phones is not 3G... The only 3G capable phones here is the v3x, Maxx, the V3ii (The 3g version of V3)... Dang, they won't release V9 and moto Q9 here, both are the newest 3g phones...

And, hardware-wise, I think E6 is better than Z6... I can even say that E6 is better than v3x, and the only thing that v3x is better is that it is 3g while E6 is not... I'm not able to maximize the internet capabilities on my network (Smart) because right now, E6 is not 3G... But right now, I'll be buying another phone, so that I can maximize my network capabilities...

I'm a Z6 user.

If you want a phone that already has a lot of mods now, then go for the E6. The Z6 appears to be in the infant stage of modding.

I was like you and it was hard to decide between both phones, but I ended up going for the Z6 for the superior music functions.

The phone is fast, easy to use and feature rich. The screen quality is amazing, one of the best available. One draw back is the screen size - it's a little too small for my liking, but it's still nice. Battery life is great too

Z6 is a faster, stable, more customizable, camera and screen is better, battery life is good,good phone book and voice function is good, sync is good, better choice over e6. i have both and use z6 most of the time.

I am a E6 user,
I say only advantage in Z6 that it has good inbuilt Phone Memory compare to E6 with 7 MB memory only. (The major disadvantage of E6)

What diference betwen W6 and E6 / Z6
