How do I change the default external wallpaper of the Razr2 V8 ? Anyone knows ?

Ive got a Motorola Razr2 V8, just wondering if anyone knows how to Mod or Change the default external wallpaper of the Razr2 V8?

The Razr2 V8's present default wallpaper is a Purplish Motorola logo when you flip up the phone.

Anyone here has any idea how to modify or change that?

Go to Setting->Theme and select your present theme (has a little dot in the left hand circles), now press options and select edit. When the theme configuration opens , press the right arrow key to move into the second part of the configuration and on the top there is the wallpaper, click on it and now you can choose either one of the preloaded ones or one you have uploaded yourself. Finally press save and that's it.

No fence, Rasputin, but I believe you've misunderstood the question - as I understand Phaeton wants to change the "motologo.bmp" (or whatever it's called - that wallpaper shown when flip opened).

Ah.. The formerly known "cl.gif", which is now the logo_motorola.bmp.
Theoretically all you have to do is change that file in the iconres.ezx that you can find in the icons folder in the CG52.

Yes, thats what I was referring to, but what software program or function do I use to access the icons folder in the CG52? =)

Currently I have the RSD Lite 3.8 which recognizes the Razr2 V8 but I do not know with the current modding progress if its possible to replace the logo_motorola.bmp with another picture.

And strange enough I managed to successfully install a p2k compatible drive for the Razr2 V8. P2k commander recognized the device, however a ' system read ' soon displays that the device is not a P2k one.

The thing is that RAZR2 V8 is really not that P2k phone. That's why there's still no software capable handling the functions P2k commander supported. Nevertheless we'll see, something's going to come for sure (and I think it won't last long).

Regarding to changing the logo_motorola.bmp - as Rasputin's said it would be necessary to change proper iconres.ezx file what is currently still impossible - as far as I know (by the way Rasputin is that superman in modifying this CG52) it's possible to extract the content of that iconres file but we're still unable to create working iconres.ezx back. And my suggestion - wait again.

I am afraid to say it will be a very long wait!
Slowly, very slowly, is the picture emerging on how to edit V8 skin, but it will take month untill we really understand the fundamental relationship between iconres and the ini files, because the description is totally new. The whole concept of these skins is new.
With P2K phone skins in S4M you edited about 150 files including the icons, with V8 skins you edit around 630 files for the skin only!!!!, no DRM no icons, just the skin. So to go to the extreme, if you want to edit just one custom skin with custom icons and custom DRM you will be close to the 2000 file mark.
