Neptunex3's review :
1.Battery charging issue has been solved..'thanks to the people who made this'
2. Camera is working fine...but we could take very less resolution pics only...still i like it
3. File manager has been added- now we can see the files what ever we have saved in the memory card.
4. Bluetooth also working fine...now i can transfer files from my phone to others...
5. phone calls also working fine...means..i can call any number from the phone-book and i can receive call also, one more thing we can set video's as a ring-tone...but it is not working(there is option for that)..i hope future editions these thing will be solved.
6. new keypad's & number pad are there looks cool.
7. There working themes...but few are not working properly..its realy changing the look of the phone..means not like our e6 themes - only icons will be different or color will be differen...but in qtopia the themes gives new look to the phone.
8. games are working fine...its not realy a good one's
9. it is more stable - battery life is good.
10. music player is good...sound is nice very clear and rocks...also the volume is good, it is more than our regular e6 volume...

Commonly known problems/bugs on this particular version (See faq for the other questions.)
>I can't enter my PIN because of a huge boring clock.
you can edit /opt/Qtopia/etc/themes/qtopia/home.xml and remove HSW clock (some <widget blah-blah-blash>....</widget> ) or disable sim pin using another phone.
>Mass storage device is not there.....if i want to add some songs or pictures in to the memory card, what i have to do?
use SFTP in filezilla. (phone's IP is 192.168.10.6 )
>Bluetooth is not working....so what to do?
dev-tools -> bluetooth on
>Does stereo bluetooth (a2dp)?
no, not yet...
>when I recieve calls I can't hear the caller and he can't hear me.
mediaserver crashes on playing standart "alarm.wav", so you dont hear the ring. after mediaserver crash call audio routing not working too.
So try to change default ringtone to some other custom mp3 or disable ringtone.

EDIT OF THE 30 of DECEMBER, 2009:
Thanks to READ this sticky, I keep editing it for now, just to keep the forum sane, as a lot of people are requesting news.
There were so much novelties than nobody or maybe just a few could try and test the newest thing in Qtopia...
There is not yet a fully satisfying release, as far as i know, but i choosed to revive this thread, to continue informing peoples.
The devs changed the main kernel, are trying out a lot of experimentals stuff on their EZX... ( to just name one or two jobs... rewrote of some kernel driver, having a nice debuging tool , with a serial tty thru the usb cable... implementation of BP debricking/re-writing on new style opensource tools...i forgot having the GPRS to work on a 2.6 kernel... etc, etc...).
Hope the best for qtopia-ezx in 2009 and 2010, and participate all as far as you can!
Sabrod
SO please follow the thread here , or our wiki ( the best informations source, mostly wrote by the devs themselves... ) to keep you informed. Thanks.

this looks great
I am rather worried about about the speed there.
Got hold of this OS a long time back but still reluctant to try it out.

well, i'm using the last "test" fw, and it run all apps at a good speed!
I'll try to play some movie and make a video... as usually it's a good power test...
hmm gonna test now
Well, the persons that made this fw are far more talentuous and passionated than the guys from moto, and we can feel this... I'll keep this OS and will never re-flash back to motocrap! Or maybe only for an eventual benchmark test.
Even the gsm have a better signal quality... I know it don't touch the BP fw, but it's what i feel.![]()
wait a sec i cant seem to find the sbf lol am i going blind here![]()
I noticed the latest release is on March 6 for the A1200...last time I tried Qtopia was last year around summer time. My biggest grip on Qtopia was it overly small keypad for text input, has that been changed since then? If texting is more thumbable now, I might be tempted to flash to Qtopia again. I said MIGHT is because A2DP is still missing, but glad to hear it accept SDHC card...up to how many gig though?
>latest release
yes that qtopia "test" sbf is from the 6 of march. But, well the dailybuids works here, but are quite harder to flash...
>small keypad
Yes, it's the same :/
>sdhc
Actualy my 8gig sandisk card is recognized, i have not another bigger one to test...
