Activate Java App Uploader on A835

Alternative way to activate Java App Loader (Menu -- Setting -- Java Setting).
I use P2KSEEM With Function v1.4. (I guess it's the easiest way to activate java uploader than using seem editor + hex editor like xvi32HEXED) you can directly put the change into your phone. (I did it with my A835 after I flash with 72.32.0EI_ka (german) which didn't activate java app loader (off). Here are the steps:

1. Launch P2Kseem wth function v1.4. Connect the phone (must be on) to the usb cable. If this is the first time you connect the phone, then the pc will identify a new hardware (motorola usb modem) if the pc ask for the driver then you'll need to point it to the directory where you unzipped P2Kman 'drv' directory. That's where the driver for all these devices is. It's called p2k.sys. After that, pc will detect other motorola usb device like Accessories Interface, Communications Interface, Data Interface, DSP Interface, MCU Interface, Test Command Interface. Give each device the same driver (p2k.sys). (Like you did with motorola usb modem).

2. If everything is installed, then you can see that your P2KSEEM With Function v1.4 will says 'Connected' (bottom left of the status bar).

3. Fill the 'Seem' box with value 0032 (step1), also fill 'Record' box with value 0001 (step2). Then click the 'Load from phone' button (step3).

4. The you will see a bunch of Hex Values of Seem 0032. Point and click the Offset 43 (step4). You will see a description of Offset 43 value. There will be no check on bit 0 - which explain where Java App Loader locate (Off).

5. Click the box to change the value (Java App Uploader - ON) (step5). Click 'Save to phone' button (step 6).

6. Unplug the usb cable, turn off your phone, insert Sim Card, then turn on your phone, go to Menu -- Setting -- Java Setting..... Boom... you have Java App Loader Active.

With this utility, you also can modified other hidden menu (I did with with Active Line, SMS Delivery Report, and others). you can see some explaination of Seem 0032 details and other Seem in this site: http://xlr8.us/hofo/map.txt

WARNING: DO THIS WITH YOUR OWN RISK.....
But I almost never f**k up my phone with this utility (thanks to the programmer). Just use it with wise...

Nope.. It's just to ACTIVATE Java App Loader. To load Java app (Apllication or game) use Motorola Midway v2.8. Activate Java App Loader with Menu -- Setting -- Java Setting -- Java App Loader.... Connect usb cable. Launch Motorola Midway, Open Jad File and Download to phone. Follow the instruction on phone after finishing download. If you have a compatible java app (some don't) then you have a new app in Games & Apps Menu...

i think doing it wth pst is easier. But pst is kinda hard to get, since its a ware.

yup, but on A835 you cannot use PST to activate JAL...
must use those tip from Netslider to make it work on
Moto A835...
