  1. Default BSNL 3G settings for Milestone - Please Help !!!

Hi all, I am from Kerala,

I have bought a Motorola Milestone last week, and took a new 3G connection from BSNL.
But BSNL people and the local dealer of Motorola have no idea about the 3G settings for Milestone.

Can anybody help me in configuring the 3G setting for my Milestone ?

Thanks shanthanu, it is working, thanks.

    1. How to disable the internet connection?, it is there always in the notification area and shows data transfer even if I am not using internet.

    2. How can I close an application?, backward button keeps the application running in the background.

    3. Is it possible to install the downloaded applications in the SD card?

    4. Infrequent auto starting of phone is occurring, any solution for this?

    Thanks

U can use 3g watch dog application for stopping data transferring and you can use advanced task manager and application 2sd is only working in froyo i.e. android 2.2 and by updating your phone you can solve this problem

I got my milestone from futurebazaar.com for 19000. Got working with BSNL GPRS with bsnlnet. The set uses HSDPA connections, and diamond not even subscribed to 3G. Its lightning fast. I think u dont need a 3G for this.

Why is it that BSNL 3G is giving me the same speed of that of GPRS?
Wireless Tether dosent show download speed more than 50KBPS, while Airtel GPRS was giving me more than 150KBPS!

It happened with Airtel - Bengaluru as well. For few days to promote 3G, they converted all Edge signal to 3G - HSPA (airtelgprs.com) and reduced to speed to 1MBPs, Once all promotion completed, Airtel Edge back again.

Download speedtest app and checkout the speed..

    happy browsing..!!
