Really profound tutorial, eakrin!
I'm a fan of Alienware theme, but there are few elements, which I'm not quite satisfied with. Do you think you could explain here how to edit some certain elements of the theme installed in the system?
Exact list of elements I'd like to edit:
Scrollbar (basically, from your tutorial I know how to edit it already, but do I still have to create the whole package or editing just .skn file will be enough&);
Buttons of the calculator;
Buttons of English keypad etc.

Very Very Thank you for Create a theme.
Very Very Thank you for tutorial to Create a theme.
Well, let's say I want to create my own theme on the basis of those standard themes included in firmware. What I do? I copy diska, find the iconres.ezx, unpack it with 7-zip and Skin&Icon Packager by one of those guys (earkin, I guess?) who really rock the e680i, and what I get? First, I get a folder named icons with 1374 gif-files, which altogether make e680i the way we see it, and four files named and content as listed below:
- block.txt. It's content is:
Code:note size = 2 startblockoffset = 29680 idtableoffset = 26 nhashtableentries = 1374 hashtableoffset = 29700 dataoffset = 46188
- hash.txt, in which gif-files names are listed with 3 numbers, like in a fragment below:
Code:1370, IE_Eicon_Red_lips.g, 29471139, 29564, 2437905 1371, Cam_Bright_Feature_A.g, 213280722, 29584, 2438120 1372, GNBCam_MsgCenter_B.g, 65090910, 29607, 2442471 1373, Predictive_Input_TAPCaps.g, 4029198214, 29628, 2444837 1374, MessCe_Attach_Vnote_B.g, 451307406, 29655, 2444964
- header.dat with just one line of text:
Code:motoskin v1.00Questions:
- And an empty file named note.txt
Are these files being created by PackSkin.pl as I pack iconres.ezx or should I modify them before I pack the iconres.ezx? If answer is the latter, is it possible to make it by a script? Where do I get the values?
