Just remove your old skin first. my Skin installer 'll remove skin in /ezx_user/download/appwrite/setup/ before each new installation procedure. but it is not 100% sure that it can remove skin from another installer.

If you don't know how to remove .lin skin. I don't know too. the only way is DO A MASTER RESET. it's 100% remove ccmove .lin installed skin.


and don't forgot to check EZX_User space before and after remove old skin. it should reduce 500k to 1.3M depend on skin.

I can use Color Scheme Setting to change my A1200 skin. I have /mmc/mmca1/.system/skin directory with identical structure as /usr/data_resource/skin . Actually it have different content but with the same name Every reboot I have to execute (using a script of course) :

# mount --bind /mmc/mmca1/.system/skin /usr/data_resource/skin

I think you understand this solution and have better explanation to the end user
Do not set your phone as USB Mass Storage device when using this method!

yes. this is mount bind problem. if you use mmc as a skin folder so you can't use storage mode. and internal memory is only 7-8MB it's not enough for storage themes.

This is my concept for this.
1. copy all skin from /user/data_resource/skin into mmc.
2. mount --bind them.
3. installer set skin to default1 ONLY. by copy and replace default1 skin files.

this can help phone can be switch to usb storage. This is concept only I have no time to test it before. LOL

I have try to add a new skin to /usr/data_resource/skin using mount --bind method so the system failed to load my new skin on reboot but my phone not freeze Can I claim this is the safest and easiest way to add a new skin to A1200? We can use Setup -> Color Scheme to change our skin or test a skin. Not tested yet on E6.

Problem is
1. I need USB Storage mode to transfer Thai song (Thai Filename) for A1200.
2. I use 4GB in E6 so It need to eject card to card reader.

I 'll try to add new skin by always setup new skin into default1. I think this idea can make phone use Storage mode. LOL

my A1200 always freezed. after mount --bind and switch to storage mode. even I use the same skin as in cg34. But This is good installing like you said about. but user need to choise which method does he need. so I will add New feature "Install to colorscheme" + startup script for this method.

How to install splash screen by splash installer
1. in File program tap and hold on .phm file until popup menu appear.
2. select open with menu
3. select splash installer and check in use this program to open. and tap on ok button.
4. splash installer 'll display dialog "Install xxxx.phm" after installation complete dialog "install complete" 'll appear. if you does not install ezxpopup or ezxdialog you 'll here a peep sound.
5. restart phone to completely change to new splash

When i restart phone i have the same splash motorola boot logo it dasen't change. I dont have any idea where is the misteke i do this the same on this tip.

Try another splash. If everything ok It should work when you power off phone.

just replace your .gif over another splash.
