Windows tends to do things neatly in some ways, as GNU/Linux (or other OSs) do in some other ways. So install the operating system that you need (and want). That's why God (and computer-maker engineers
) allows you to install multiple OSs on your box.

Win 7 is good.I see no reason to hate it.
Put in a Nvidia Geforce T2343x Graphics card and test the OS.
