hey motomaster..
did u say u tested a gphone? i mean, was it just android on some other manufacturer's phone, or a google made hardware?
Cud u divulge a few awesome/interesting details about the gphone (even if u've been sworn to secrecy!! )![]()
May i add some info there.
, i myself got to to test the iphone (i own it for 7 months now) and the Gphone at the Google test development centre.
Leaving the gphone alone , becoz it is in a league of its own, i come straight to the comparison between iphone and motorokr e6.
Motorokr e6 has been my companion for 8 months or so now and for me frankly saying ,it is a gem of a gadget. As part of google i get to test hundreds of phones but the first time i laid my hands on rokr or specifically motorola phones, i just fell in love with it.
The iphone is truely a nice gadget to work on , undoubtedly. But its show off fails when compared to the handsome motorola.User friendly framework makes mototrokr a far ahead phone than the iphone, while there are features where motorokr fails severely.
Summing it up and with due respect to the creator of the thread, i congratulate you on your new purchase.Have a great time.
But always remember " Motorola created the first mobile phone and Apple took the last initiative to do it"

I never understood the internet on the phone through the computer..... if you are that close to the computer.... just use the computer.
Stylus for accuracy isnt needed.
so long and thanks for all the fish
My opinion may be different than others, seeing as that I am not a programmer or developer. I am and end user, or maybe even a power user, . That being said, I think the 'end user experience' of the iphone, especially for people who have no intentions of finding a site like this or modding the phone in any way, is better.

few of my friends here in Dubai use the Iphone. Of course these are the cracked version. The phone is good given the date of launch(much later than the E6). There are quite a lot many number of good features the phone has. I particularly liked its slickness and the Wifi option alongwith the 8 GB option and the screen quality.
But the E6 seems to be more handy. One of the features which i found missing in Iphone was the ability of transferring songs via bluetooth. The E6 seems to be more capable in term of quality of sound while playing the music thru the headsets. The E6 can be modded to hearts desire. though i have only done it a few times but this is a very good features. You can format the phone and reload the entire software as and when desired. I am not sure if this is possible in Iphone.
Probably Motorola should relaunch this handset with additional stuffs which are required with a update in the Original software.
Also the amount of expenditure that Iphone had for prelaunch and during the launch of it, is very high compared to E6. Had it been that motorola would had spent the same amount E6 would had been a much bigger success then the Iphone.
anyways both the phones are different and also the time of launch has been much different. Motorola should relaunch the handset with new features like higher memory support and wifi - very important. Also probably a few other addons if possible.
Well, I'd say Motorola E7 could beat any phone for a loong time
And Motorola's politics sucks as well. If they'd release full SDK for native apps, they could launch something like apple's AppStore. This would mean A LOT of profit for them - both more people would buy phone, and they'd also buy things from their site.
When the E8 came out, it was like ten steps back. No touchscreen and it's ugly, what were they thinking!
the motorola E7 was confirmed to be a fake. There is talk of the E10 code named Textell, but I think it will be a long time away. And even with motos new handset, the a1600, its missing a lot of features for a smart phone now. No 3G no wifi, OS from years ago... Sometimes I wonder what they are thinking over there.
