RC30 Update Cracked

O.k for all those who have not accepted the updates from google already here is the cracked version which allows you to be able to still telnetd you G1. Note: If you have already installed the RC30 updates from google this will not work. Sorry.

1. Download the modified RC30.zip if there is any .zip extension remove it,it should just say update. Now put this update zip on you SD.

2. Download the recovery_testkeys.img.zipExtract the file recovery_testkeys.img an put this on your SD via usb.

3. For this next step you will need to telnet your G1.

Enter:

mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system

Enter:

cd /system

cat /sdcard/recovery_testkeys.img > recover.img

Enter:

flash_image recovery recover.img

After this you should be ready for the next step.

4.Turn off the phone and start into recovery mode by pressing and holding HOME + POWER button while booting. Once in recovery mode( exclaimation mark..) press ALT + L to see the text. If you see Using test keys, the flash was successful.



5. Then if you go into settings>about phone you should see this.



Now your done so enjoy.
