following on from that I tried loading neo again and it seemed to work, and so did qonsole - typed in that funny script thing, turned off phone and started it again - but it wont switch on past the "hellomoto" thing... heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllpppp

Sorry, but how do i know the firmware of my phone? I looked for some clue in the forum, but couldnt find. Seems i need to know about it in these lines:


iii. If you use C5_A4 firmware then look for package "C5_A4_fullCG33_unicode", look for release "version 1.3", download file

v. If you use C5_AB firmware and your phone is E680i then look for package "C5_AB_modified_firmwares", look for release "cg33_unicode", download file


Since the first line doesnt say wich phone it is for, and the last one is for E680i (wich is my phone), seems may phone uses C5_AB firmware. Am i right?

"Firmware" means the firmware that you WANT TO flash to your phone. NOT the one existing in your phone. CMIIW.

However, if you want to know the existing firmware in your phone, just dial www008w (w = wait - from Menu -> Insert -> Insert Wait).

Good news, well maybe, is that I made it past the cg33 file. However, I'm trying to connect my phone as "mass storage" and my phone locks up everytime I connect my USB cable.

my 680i got stuck in the motorola bootscreen, tried reflashing in bootloader mode, but instead of getting the cg18 error, i get a flash success. pulled out the usb cable then battery and switched on. but it is still stuck in the motorola bootscreen. what am i doing wrong?

did u try to wait longer sometime bootup stay on bootmode longer 2-3 mins after flashing

It should say "flash failed", not success. Ironic, though!

Think you got the wrong files.
