The CG36 u downloaded and referred was not my CG36.....my CG36 has got some additional features enabled as compared to that one....and it comes along with my CG35....

Steps to be done after installation this CG33 unicode:
1. Create a folder named "Startup" in /diska/.system folder and put all startup scripts there. (diska just referes to your phones memory/harddrive (the 50mb in size one if you dont understand
2. Copy 7 files (.GainTable.txtvbr_dash.wav,vbr_dot.wav,vbr_normal.wav,vbr_dotdot.wav,vbr_pulse.wav,vbr_dotdash.wav) to /diska/.system folder. If you forget to put 7 files in /diska/.system folder, you can not hear any sound from phone's speakers or your phone can not vibrate.
3. Copy acmattach.txt to root directory of the phone (/diska/acmattach.txt). Your phone will switch to telnet mode automatic when usb cable plugged in. You rename file acmattach.txt in /diska folder to enable or disable this feature.
4. Copy bins.mtf to root directory of the phone (/diska/bins.mtf). Tap on this file, the phone will create two folder "bin" and "lib" in /diska/.system. The bin folder contains bash2, nano..., the lib folder contains share libraries.
5. copy restore-native.lin to memory card. You can put this file in any folder of memory card. When you want to restore native database, tap on it.
6. Restart the phone


Im completely lost on where to go to make the new folder and where am i getting the files from to add them to the folder....am i using the memory card to add them? and what start up scripts am i looking for and where.

1. Create a folder in diska/.system. Connect your phone to pc using USB mass storage mode. If youre using windows got to Tools>Folder options>view show hidden files & folders. You will not find diska name in windows look for the drive name of your phone (usually the next letter added to your current drives). Look for the folder named .System and add new folder named "Startup".

2. Copy 7 files. If you manged to download the correct CG33, all these files are located inside that file together with CG33.

3. Copy acmattach.txt to root directory of the phone (/diska/acmattach.txt). Use the search function, this file is available in a lot of places in the forum. I cannot remember if its included in the package.

4. Copy bins.mtf to root directory of the phone (/diska/bins.mtf). This file also comes with the CG33. If you downloaded compressed file (.zip or .rar), extract the file & this file also comes with CG33, restore-native.lin also included.

Check the CG33 that you are having you might have downloaded a different version. Make sure that the version mention unicode_statrup_vibrate etc.

Thank you so much I didnt even realize that the phone shows up as a drive on my computer lol I feel like a dummy now. I did all of that and then when i plugged it into the usb again it said found new hardware Motorola USBLAN. I searched the forum and found the belcarra usblan driver and the patch for it but when the computer is searching for it, it comes up saying that no driver could be found although i do point it to the folder i installed it to. Any suggestions?

When the phone is in usb storage mode you do not need belcarra driver, only the motorola driver found in the CD that came when you bought the phone. With this driver you can connect the phone to pc in storage mode as well as modem mode.

Belcarra usb lan driver is required when you want to telnet to the phone. Your phone must be connected to pc in usb modem mode before you install belcarra driver. Before installing check device manager in control panel and check if your phone is recognized by the pc as a modem.

The only cd that came with my phone was the mobile phones cd and i tried that and still nothing. the device manager recognizes it with a yellow question mark but i assume thats because i cant get a driver to instal for it
