e680i vibrate function

i turned my phone to vibrate today and noticed it did not vibrate. i tried going to my ring tone settings, when i tried to edit the vibrate profile, instead of the names of ringtones in the selection field it says "vibrate" but grayed out and unable to make changes. does anyone have a clue if something is wrong with my e680i? thanks in advance.

then, can you telnet to the phone already?

i have no idea how to telnet. what i do know is i only have 2 ringtons, yoda and the bells. but when i'm in vibrate profile the ringtone selector is grayed and replaced with "vibrate" which leads me to conclude "vibrate" is a function and not a selectable option for an audio ringer. i do have other ringers on my sd card but they are not programmed into the cg33/35 package.
