yes, both cyph's versions will work with ezx, the main difference is how they were built. the ezx version was a standard opie-only style build, while the opnenembedded version was built as part of the larger open-embededded build (which can be used to build the entire software environment for PDA's, including the root, GUI, etc) and both versions were built against the qt-libs that cyph patched so that his opie proxy can switch between the ezx and opie GUI's.
The openembedded version is a LOT bigger (seems to be mostly taken up by fonts) and has some apps that aren't included in the previous ezx version, but as far as opie goes on the e680 i think the openembedded approach is going to be quite nice.
