First flash the ABP Full Flex or ABP Full Firmware. The CG33 can be flashed with the original firmware or after flashing the firmware. The CG35, however, can only be flashed after flashing the firmware.

I have provided basic flashing instruction in the document in the archive. For more detailed explanations on flashing, check out the forum properly or visit my blog. For the CG35, use only the cp method.

I'm trying to follow some discussions in the forums and i'm totally confused about the correct flashing method for an original e680 flashed to C5A4P to a new firmaware C5ABP.

1. i.moto.freek bought E680 successfully flashed to C5A4P+CG35 then reflashed using C5ABP+CG33 without problems. After these he made a mistake in flashing it with C5ABP+CG33+CG35 where CG35 is supposed to be done after CG33 using Cyph's flashkit.

2. intoxicated advised him to use CCRX patch. There is also an available CG33 with E680 patch.

For clarification, anyone who has successfully flashed an original E680 running C5A4P to C5ABP kindly explain if CCRX patch or any patched CG33 is needed.

Here's my experience with an original E680 (which has been running E680i firmware before):
First I tried to flash without the patch (for the simple fact that I didn't know it existed ). The phone would get to the China Mobile screen but it hung there. When reading this topic I noticed the patch. I applied it at the "Erasing flash memory" stage. MultiFlash finished with a Flash Failed, but the phone started up just fine.
I'm now going to try to add the unbranded CG33, I'll keep you updated.

Well, that didn't work.
For ThreeSearch's CG33 to work, we're going to need a patched version, I'm afraid. Does anyone have a clue as to what the patch actually does?

Bottomline for now for E680(not i) users: don't use ThreeSearch's CG33 and use the patch!

Alright, that worked for me. Sorry for needing 5 posts for this, but this is how it's done for a E680 (non-i):

- Get firmware from this topic
- Get patched CG33 from http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ease_id=372594
(ThreeSearch_C5_AB_patch_E680_CG33_unicode_editable_gaintable_startup_1.1.zip)
- Replace original CG33 with the above when PST/Multiflash says Erasing flash memory

That's it. Apply CG35 update if you want the other benefits as well.
