  1. Default C5_A4 with unicode + multi latin keyboard + multi GUI

    Hi all,

I have modified C5_A4 firmware to put in multi latin base keyboards for you.

Here is what I have done:

    1. Modified Motorola's AMCSL.ttf font to support display following languages:
    Western
    Hebrew
    Arabic
    Greek
    Turkish
    Baltic
    Central European
    Cyrillic
    Thai
    Vietnamese

If you can use tahoma.ttf font to display your language in PC then you can use this modified AMCSL.ttf font to display your language in E680i.

    2. Modified keyboards support keyin following languagues:
    Deutsch (German)
    English (UK, US)
    Espanol (Spanish)
    Francais (French)
    Italiano (Italian)
    Português (Portuguese)

For other latin base languages (such as Rumanian, Dutch, Finnish, Swedish), you can try to see whether this multi latin base keyboards support your accented characters or not.

Steps to install unicode font + multi latin base keyboards:

    1. download C5_A4_CG33_Unicode from:
    http://www.motorolafans.com/index.ph...Downloads&c=45

    You can choose:
    a. C5_A4_CG33_Unicode with origin gaintable
    b. C5_A4_CG33_Unicode with increased volume of all speakers in gaintable to 20 units
    c. C5_A4_CG33_Unicode with editable gaintable (if you use this CG33, remember to put the file .GainTable.txt in .system folder of your phone memory, do not put the file .GainTable.txt in .system folder of your memory card)

    2. download C5_A4_Multi_Latin_Keyboards from:
    http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...roup_id=149849
    Select package C5_A4_Multi_Latin_Keyboards

    3. Use PST or Flashkit to install C5_A4_fullCG33_Unicode

    4. If you use PST to reflash your phone then just replace the origin CG33.smg with the modified CG33_unicode.smg during the "erasing memory" process.

    5. If you have already flashed with C5_A4_full and don't want to reflash your phone again then rename E680I_G_0D.C5.A4P_0D.B0.B1P_T674KV_L001_S015_P004_GSOE680IT674KV006_fullCG33.smg to cg33.smg. Put the file cg33.smg in root directory of memory card. use flashkit to flash: flashcp -v /mmc/mmca1/cg33.smg /dev/mtd5

    6. Put the file multi_keyboard.smg in root directory of memory card, telnet to the phone, use cp to copy multi keyboards to the phone: cp /mmc/mmca1/multi_keyboard.smg /dev/tffsa

    7. restart the phone, you will have C5_A4 with multi latin base keyboards.

    8. To use multi latin base keyboards, tap on "au" button of English Keyboard.

After install multi latin base keyboards, you can install English --> Your language or Your language --> English in your phone. You can also install French --> Portuguese. Any latin base dictionaries will work fine. Download multi national dictionaries from here:

    http://dictionarymid.sourceforge.net/

If you can not find your dictionary, just follow the instructions on the site and setup your own dictionary in your language! (I have setup a few dictionaries in my language and use in my E680i)

Happy keyin and using dictionaries in your language,

    @panya.t

Your Thai's E680i firmware support thai hand writing or not? If yes, can you copy all files and folders in /usr/language, zip it and send to me.

    PS:
Any one of you (Rumanian, Dutch, Finnish, Swedish, Greek...), if you are successful install and use this multi latin base keyboards, please post here so that others from your nation know. Then they can buy E680i from eBay, from Hongkong, from China, from other Asia countries and use these modified CG33 + CG35 to display and keyin your language on this wonderful Linux phone.

I copied /usr/language/inputmethods and /usr/language/string to /ezxlocal. Then i deleted them and make symlinks to /ezxlocal. Now i can modify *.kbd and string/* files from telnet.
For example i need Italian keyboard.
I added "it-it" directory in string directory and make readme.cfg with "Italian" string within. Then i copied your version of kbd file to my inputmethods directory and restarted the phone. In Language menu i select Italian and in Input setup i select Italian too. But i cant see any Italian keyboard. What i missed?

    @Aleksei
You still can use english keyboard in my modified CG35 to keyin Italian's accented characters, just tap on "au" button.

However, if you want to have Italian keyboard, you need to add 1 file ita.kbd in inputmethods.

    Hope it can help,
