Default About making the /etc directory writable. Need help

I'd like the e680g to autorun some process while poweron, so the first thing come to my mind is to edit the /etc/init.d/*. However the /etc is not writable, what should i do next? Flashing the e680g to make the /etc directory writable? If the anwser is yes, what kind of flash? flash the kernel or flash the rootfs? I've read the sticky artical" Maximum advantage of E680i", It's like that I need to "Installing Unicode CG33", right? If so, where can i download the cg33 package?

BTW, the links point to topics always bring me to 'news' page, (like: http://motorolafans.com/index.php?na...ewtopic&t=3485), I don't know why? Has anyone got this problem?

    http://www.motorolafans.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3485
dead links can be reanimated using this:
    http://www.motorolafans.com/index.ph...g_link_working

/etc is inside the cramfs. to edit this baby you need this:
    http://www.motorolafans.com/index.ph...ate_the_cramfs

    good luck!

no need. if you want run some process, follow 1 of 2 choice:
1.decompress cg33.smg and add script, edit /etc/rc.d/rc2.d/S80autorun. Then compress and reflash (use flashkit).

    2. (recommend) telnet to phone and read /etc/rc.d/rc2.d/S80autorun
    cat /etc/rc.d/rc2.d/S80autorun
( or use mtool.mpkg and acess /etc/rc.d/rc2.d/S80autorun. and open it

I think after read it, you will find can or can not and how to add some extra process, because S80autorun is boot at power up phone. ( example: just put startup.txt into /diska/preload/ because modders had extends this ability.)

There are so many links there, I can't not find it. Another question, Is the cg33.smg right for e680g.
