Default e680-->e680i and the real e680i

does anyone know the difference between e680 that have been flashed to e680i and the real e680i(i see at motorola webiste..e680i is silver color) ?

i bought e680i, but the color is same like e680(black color). so..i was wondering...maybe the phone shop cheat me? maybe the box, the guide/manual says e680i, but the phone inside is only e680 flashed to e680i. here are few question -

    1. what is the diff between e680 flashed to e680i and the real e680i ( i mean... is e680 flashed to e680i support 2 gig sd just like the real e680i)

    2. is e680i comes with black color too?

please help me answer these lol...im confused

perhaps the safest way is to check to see that the a2dp (stereo bluetooth audio) is supported; the e680i firmware supports this on the software side but i think only the actual e680i will really completely support this feature. as far as i know nobody has reported trying out a 2 gig SD card on either the e680, or e680 flashed w/ e680i firmware.

the E680i I think uses transflash (mini-sd) instead of SD as well.

the phone i bought comes with transflash. the only thing is because mine is black color. so the appearance is no diff from e680. rpcconnect, do u mean that e680 that have been flashed to e680i wont support stereo bluetooth audio?
MrAkai, u mean the e680 flashed to e680i didnt support transflash?

anyone can tell more about the diff between e680 flashed wit e680i and the actual e680i

The E680 has an SD slot, from what I understand the E680i has a transflash slot instead. Although I could be wrong, it's just the e680i firmware refers to the removable memory as Transflash where the E680 firmware called it SD/MMC.

also, what does your phone say on the sticker inside? Under the part with the big "C E xxxx"

    mine (E680) says:
    T672WY E680 FCC ID:......

The E680i might say E680i there instead.

yes, e680 flashed to e680i will not support stereo bluetooth audio, so that is the easiest way to tell...

i think that the e680i should support full size SD cards as well, since the transflash memory has to go into an SD adapter anyway. what i really don't get is why use transflash in the first place, since the slot is a full size SD slot...
