Default calls available for OpenEZX ???

Things are technical in the message, but it seems someone finally made calls available for OpenEZX! We shall just cheer on until a proper release is, erm.. released! =DHi,I just tested a phone call... It works!I configured the pcap registers via a /proc/ debug interface (which inot comitted yet) and ezxd. Here is the userspace script which did the magic..#!/bin/shecho "raw 0 atd*111" | nc localhost 7100echo "0d 00000000" > /proc/pcapecho "1a 00200910" > /proc/pcapecho "0c 0008e901" > /proc/pcapecho "0b 00003005" > /proc/pcapI got audio on both directions.*111 is just a toll free number on Brasil Telecom. -- EOFDaniel Ribeiro
this is quoted from motorolfans home page written by administrator. It sounds something great bu I cant understand it. Can anyone explain this to me?? is it something VOIP type of thing??

    goto http://www.openezx.org/
sound is necessary to do phone calls
OpenEZX is working on an actual linux kernel for our mobiles.
an actual kernel is necessary for running OpenMoko, opie, GPE or other free platforms on our motorolas.
it has nothing todo with Voip (not working over Gprs)

It is a kernel, the low level software, that does the hardware access and provides API for user software.

it is meant to completely replace the motorola firmware, together with a graphical environment, like opie, gpe or openmoko.
