    Default 2 SIM in 1 = Line 1 and Line 2 ???

Recently, I saw people integrated 2 sim in 1, after that, in STK menu, the have "switch line 1 and switch line 2". I wonder if that procedure is similar with "Line 1 and Line 2" fucntion in E680(i)? By the way, can 2 SIM number online at the same time? Thanks for readng this topic!!!

i always wonder what this stk menu is for, i got always a failure: my card does not support stk.

but i know you can have two numbers parallel online, but you need a provider which support this.

i have switched some time ago in phone menu to line 2 and afterward i was not abe to make calls but i had forgotten that i switched the line and thought my provider makes a mistake to forbid my calls...

in new zealand STK works in my e680
STK = some provider provides a menu on the simcard for some more of thier services are there.
    example:
if you use a prepaid card so you can look how much money you have on the phone..
    changing the plan/contract.
    news, donloading pics or ringtones
and more... itdepends on the provider.

I have just integrated two "sim" cards into my a780. It is very cool, as I can swap between providers really easily. I change number via the STK function - as far as I can tell, the Line1/line2 function in the a780 doesn't seem to do much.

    Some tips:
    1) you will need to buy cloning hardware and software (available on ebay and other sites)
    2) you will need a rewritable SIM card (search ebay for superSIM will get you started)
    3) not all SIM cards can be cloned. They have to be COMP128-1 compliant, which is an encryption standard. Alot of cards are compliant - apparently Vodofone all around the world cant be cloned.

Oh, and no you cant have two numbers going at the same time. I doesn't work like that! You have to switch between them!

    Hope that helps.

Does anyone have experience with the dual SIM card holders (different generations have different features, the newest says you don't need to turn off phone to switch lines).

    Do they really work?

hmm.. i go rather with a dual sim phone e.g. 2 sim cards in one phone -=the phone has two GSM or 1 CDMA and 1 GSM transmitter insice. in china they have a phone of this kind with 2 simcard and two inbuilded transmitter. only one negative point of this phone -its windows based one.

I am interested in having two lines in the E680i. The phone is capable of that, but you need a 2-line SIM. Such SIMs are available from the phone company, but I want two numbers from two different phone companies (they have different signal strengths in many areas outside the cities).

The only alternatives I know are cloning two SIMs into one (to allow for two different cellphone companies), and the dual card holders. The dual card holders are common, but has anyone using the E680i tried them?

    Thanks
