My New boot logo

Bored with the same motorola logo when turn on ur phone?here is the solutions.
i've nothing to do today,so i create new boot logo(my ubuntu theme will be finish soon)..hehehe..to install this new logo,u need flaskit and know how to telnet.

First of all,extract the boot logo that i attach here.after u extract it,u can see xbox.img.gz.copy it to memory card.

how to telnet(u need usblan installed in ur pc)
Press “Win + R”, and type cmd in run dialog
type “telnet 169.254.142.2” without quotes and press enter
Type root on telnet login prompt, press enter
(this instaruction is for modded firmware only that has usbnet mode in usb setting or a person that hav acmattach.lin file and linloader installed in his phone,plz tap the acmattach.lin 1st..)

How to use flashkit

Download flaskit that i attach here.extract it and u can see "flashkit" folder.copy the folder "flashkit" to memory card.
1. Run rwflash.lin.(u need linloader) This will load rwflash.o
2. Leave the phone alone and wait. When the screen blanks out wait 30secs longer, there's a good chance the phone entered low power mode.
3. Telnet to the phone (by connecting usb cabel --> clicking acmattach.lin --> open command prompt --> telnet 169.154.142.2 --> login as root)
4. Type cat /proc/rwflash_status and press enter. If it shows "unlocked", your flash is writable!! If not, unplug phone and go to step 2
5. continue command below in sequence
6. cd /mmc/mmca1/flashkit
7. ./start.sh
8. The script will start killing the phone's apps and mount the miniroot. After which, your telnet connection will be terminated.
9. Telnet back to the phone at port 10000 using "telnet 169.254.142.2 10000" without quote and login as root. You are now in the miniroot.
10.type /mmc/mmca1/flashkit
11.Type flashcp -v /mmc/mmca1/xbox.img.gz /dev/mtd7
12. wait until it finish(about 3 sec) pull out the battery and on ur phone.enjoy the new boot logo.

i can make more boot logo if u want.

p/slz dont hate xbox..it also can run linux..not just microsoft thingy..

here is the instuction on how to make the boot logo.very easy.

Make Boot Picture
if you have windows and photoshop, here's another approach to create boot image:

1. create a 240x320 image with photoshop
2. save it in 16bit BMP format, select "R5 G6 B5" in the advanced options. name it "logo.img",(u can rename anything u want but the ext must *.img) the file size should be 153672 bytes.
3. compress it with gzip on a linux box
# gzip -9 logo.img
4.if u do not hav linux box,u can use 7zip for win xp to COMPRESS IT TO GZIP.

NO,u cant compress to 7zip format!what i said was u can compress the img to gzip format using 7zip.

i dunno y we must compress it to gzip format..but,it is very2 important procedures to make the boot logo works!if not,ur e680i will die,n u must reflash it again..
