the motorola A768 USBLAN Driver is all u need. no need to modify the Belacarra USB LAN inf file. the driver is @ the download area. http://www.www.motorolafans.com/inde...ownload&cid=15

I have just brought my phone.
Its show's two firmwares.

E680I_G_0D.C5.A3P.BP
E680I_G_OD.BC.B1P.BPFLEX

Problem is when I extablis the hyperterminal connection and type 'at' I get ok back.
if I type 'at+mode=99' i get error and nothing else happens.

am I missing something?

You have an E680i, to enable telnet on e680i you need to reflash it with the modifed cg33 by silvio.

no dont have to reflash, just use the acmattach.lin and linloader. you dont have to go thru the hyper terminal procedure. see e680i forum

After following this thread , I able to successfully telnet into my A780...from windows...(Not yet from Linux)

1. Did;nt stop yet...Installed a SW called WinAxe and started NFS server.

2. Mounted windows folder to a directory on Phone using NFS and am able to access all the PC stuff from my phone...thats 100GB . I will further document and post the steps followed by me ..sooon....

3. Planning to do :

A. Get USBLAN enabled from

1. My Fedora core 3 : this looks a bit impossible. Kernel version is 2.6..can get going only until modem.no USBLAN driver for 2.6..wondering whether Usbnet can be used?
2. RH9 : possible.. facing strange problems while installing modem..
3. Suse p personal edition: No kernel source ...so have to check

B. install GCC and kernel sources on PC and mount them from Phone to enable cross compilation..it it works...it'll be great...

If nothing works..plannning to run linux on windows using vmware (I have already done this before)..then access the phone using IP address..

So.. will bug u all for whatever help

If you update to fc4, usblan support is built in. Ive switched to fc4 and tried it, didnt work for me but according to this guy here it should work.
You can also stablish an ppp connection (even thru bluetooth), search the forums for it.
