Default The GPRS and CSD settings thread.

I have searched a while when I got my phone for correct settings.

So I think its a good idea to start a thread (perhaps sticky) where everyone can share his settings, because many people on this forum has ordered their phone from a different country. Perhaps tarif infomration would be nice, but I dont know my exactly.

I will start with my german provider E-Plus (net-id=262-03)
My tarif is a prepaid one, called Free&Easy (but this settings should work for every E-Plus tarif)

    My GPRS MMS settings:
    APN: mms.eplus.de
    User name: mms
    Password: eplus

    My GPRS WAP settings:
    APN: wap.eplus.de
    User name: Eplus
    Password: wap

    My GPRS Internet settings:
    APN: internet.eplus.de
    User name: eplus
    Password: internet

    My CSD WAP settings:
    Dial In Number: +49177123999
    User name: eplus
    Password: wap
    Baud Rate: 9600
    Line Type: ISDN

I have found also CSD Internet settings, but I'm using my CSD WAP settings to download large files from internet(don't know if the other one is cheaper) ? means you can put anything in there:
    Dial In Number: +49177123000
    User name: ?
    Password: ?
    Baud Rate: 9600
    Line Type: ISDN

    added:
    My MMS settings:
    MMSC: http: //mms/eplus.de
    WAP Gateway IP: 212.23.97.153
    Port Number: 9201

Anyone has the USA T-mobile or Cingular settings?

Here use this site for most of the info. http://reqwireless.com/apns.html

One they don't show is the second T-mobile setting which is for VPN Internet. That setting is internet3.voicestream.com but this is only for VPN Internet. The other setting is on that site.

Curryprince what setting do you need for T-mobile because I have my phone set for WAP and Internet but no MMS.

Hi PimpInDaHouse, I am glad to find a peer who uses T-mobile too, aren't you? I followed the instruction to setup the Network with internet2.voicestream.com on my E680, it doesn't work. It used wap.voicestream.com with the phone's original browser. Can you let me know the details for the APN, what DNS, username/pwd, phone #, etc? Where to set the internet3.voicestream?

    1. which setting do you use for simple WAP surfing?
    2. which setting do you use for HTML surfing under Piscel?

And I tried very hard to see if I can make my IM and email work...but I failed with the T-mobile's t-zone setting, do you have any advice?
    3. which setting for IM in like IM java programs ( not the wap)?
    4. which setting for email ?

    Greatly appreciate your help.

  6. Default Re: The GPRS and CSD settings thread.

Curryprince sorry about the late response. Here are my settings for
    T-mobile.

    Internet settings:
    APN: internet3.voicestream.com
    Baud Rate:9600
    Line Type: ISDN
    Timeout: Off

As long as you are signed up for T-Mobiles Unlimited Internet with VPN plan for $20 a month you can use this setting or the same plan without the VPN. If you don't have the VPN plan you need to use internet2.voicestream.com as your APN. And there is no need to fill in any thing else in the settings. No Username, Password, or DNS.

    WAP settings or T-Zones:
    APN: wap.voicestream.com
    DNS: 216.155.165.50

And Thats it for the WAP setting.

I can't get the IM to work with AOL IM. And I just setup the e-mail to the AOL settings. Hope this helps you out.

    following information:

    216.155.175.41
Leave the rest of the options blank.

    Select Set as Default.
From the main menu, select Browser.

Hi PimpInDaHouse....i believe you use T-mobile in US, are you able to use the phone's IM and Email services w/ T-zones?

Secondly, I also tried to read and search in www.answers.com in Piscel browser but always get document not found or file type invalid. Another plm is to read www.yahoo.com (full HTML) in PB..but it doesn't show the page at all. Any experience?.
