Hi,
I've been playing with my E680 for a while now (telnetting over the USB cable). The USB connection (at least for me) isn't very stable: telnetting works fine, but usblan messes up when I try to grab a file with "busybox wget" (see the sticky topic aboutnative qte apps) -- I get a bunch of "urb_tx_complete: urb: da0a7a30 status: -104" messages, and the connection is lost.
Ideally, I would want to connect to the phone over bluetooth. That would eliminate the need for a cable, and I'm hoping the connection is more stable. I've been examining the bluetooth stuff, pppd is available so in theory we could connect via pppd. I've been trying some stuff but no luck so far. Has anyone tried something similar?
Eventually, it'd be very nice to have a bluetooth network connection and be able to browse and send/receive e-mail over my home DSL connection. I'm not sure if that will work out though, since the apps seem to be reliant on the GPRS/CDS profiles (even the picsel browser), but maybe they can be tricked somehow.
Anyway, long story, bottomline: I'd like to start a discussion about the above possibilities
One more thing, slightly offtopic, but has anyone been able to send stuff using obexftp? I used kbtobexclient (part of kdebluetooth), which worked, but it somehow made my X server crash every 10 minutes, so I got rid of it. obexftp exits with "SDP: connection refused" when I try to send a file, even if I pair it with hcitool cc <Address> first.
