here's what i use to encode videos for my e6

    ffmpeg -i inptfile -y -f mp4 -bitexact -vcodec mpeg4 -s 320x240 -r 15 -b 256k -acodec aac -ac 1 -ar 16000 -ab 32 output.mp4

which encodes the video (mp4) at 15fps at 256kbps .audio will be mono, for stereo use -ac 2. i know it can go higher with the framerate and bitrate but i normally encode dvd's which creates a big file.
i use realplayer to play them because zmplayer does not work with my bluetooth headset (or does it? )
Do you use that to rip directly from DVD, or do you extract/compress the files from dvd first using something else?
u can rip directly from dvd. but i use mencoder on it to embed subtitles and adjust audio delay or increase volume. then use ffmpeg to convert it to mp4.
i guess u can use mencoder to directly rip it from dvd to mp4 but never tried it,

    Default Please try M3

    Hey
Im planning on getting the E6 soon and i currently have a W900i and i use a program called M3. It a great video dvd conversion tool and was specifially made for W900i by mysh but now works for many devices and u can change lots of settings. You can downlaod it here and i think u need net framework 2.0

    http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...page=102&pp=15

Here and some video settings i use with M3
    using "high quality" option

    codec- Xvid mpeg-4 simple
    video passes- 1pass
    vid bitrate- 300
widscreen video- maintain existing aspect ratio
    audio codec- LC-ACC
    Audio bitrate- 96kbs

please tell me how your conversions went ill try and post some converted vids tommorow.

    Default Hey Soothsayer

    Heres the exact download link

    http://rapidshare.com/files/22836073...-Installer.exe

10megs too big for trailer how big is yours. I just wanna make sure that video playback looks good on the E6 before i get it. few questions about video playback on E6
    1. can u Fastforward and Rewind
    2. can u do it while in Fullscreen mode
    3. can u change from fullscreen back to nonfullscreen

    Thanks

I think i remeber why the trailer is soo big. I made the bitrate really high like 400kbs and also the audio bitrate was put up high. The original file was 720p so i just wanted to see if it looked really good on my w900i. quite unneccessary to put the bitrates so high haha plz test out the vid.

yes u can fastforward and rewind in RealPlayer(nonfullscreen) as well as ZMplayer. ZMPlayer is way more efficent at fastforwarding and also supports fullscreen support 4 it.

and yes u can switch from fullscreen to nonfullscreen in real player..

im going to try this program out later..coz right now WinAVI Mp4 Converter does the perfect & fastest job for me!

    Cheers!
