QR code/ Barcode reader?

I read some website said E6 got such thing.

But I can't find any from mine....
Can anyone tell me where to use this function?

I can't find it in mine also. I got my phone from HK. Will that be difference if the phone was bought from China?

Phones with the Hong Kong firmware E6_R533_G_11.12.02P do not have the barcode reader, but it is included in the Chinese firmware E6_R533_G_11.11.04P

That's odd, my firmware is 11.12.02p and I have the barcode reader. It should be in the menu. Dunno if they changed it recently or what not.

I got my phone couple weeks ago from Hong Kong Motorola store. I looked up the Motorola HK website and China website. I found barcode scanner feature only listed in China Motorola website. I think if the phone bought in HK most likely don't have barcode scanner feature. My next question is: can I install the barcode scanner application and where can I found the package?
Please help.

I brought my phone from HK-mobiles and it has the barcode reader but I wouldn't loose any sleep over not having it. All it does is an optical char recognition on the square matrix barcodes. Used for URL's etc.

Don't know why they wrote it. You scan these sample barcodes and it then opens up a URL in the web browser.
