Unhappy Help regarding GPRS Setup using E6 on Puppy Linux

    Hi friends

Can anyone help me out with the GPRS connection settings on Puppy linux 4.1.2 ? I have tried many times but all in vain. It always shows n error. Also it does not detect any modem even though my E6 is connected via USB. Please help me out with this. I really like this small little OS. I am using Airtel GPRS . So some Indian users might know about it. Thanks a lot in advance

Is it DEBIAN base or RED HAT base linux. If via connecting USB your mobile indicates charging status than you only need to config in WVDIAL.CONf abotut you apn info and need to edit resolve.conf and options file.

If its DEBIAN base linux than you need to reffer an earlier discussed thread about HOW TO USE E6 AS MODEM ON UBUNTU. Search this on ths forum

I tried the methods shown in the above links but no use. Ther's no sudo compiler in this OS. Some MP editor is present from where we can edit the wvdial.conf. After finishing all the steps it shows connected but I'm not able to browse. Also when i type wvdial in the terminal to connect it shows PPP daemon has died. Can anyone please try this and give me the solution. The OS is barely of 94 MBs. Thanks again
