dude my base f/w was 22p when i flashed wid sdhc kernel i have flashed normally with rsdlite nothing new in that

well I guess it's just my luck.. but for me 8GB Lexar SDHC doesn't work. This is what I did.

1. Flashed to the .22P based firmware
2. Flashed with the SDHC kernel SBF in this thread.
3. Did the SDHC kernel flash again.
4. Inserted my SDHC card and formatted (not Quick format cause it doesn't work).
5. After about 6-7 minutes the formatting was reported as successful. But the size of the Card is shown as 2 GB in E6.
6. When I plugin using USB cable to use the card as a USB mass storage, there is this stupid XP error that the USB device has malfunctioned.

Any other ideas for me to try.. Would really like to see what it takes to make the 8GB work.

8gb is working fine in my E6 (look at the attached pic).

Don't format the card in the cell, use a card reader and force format the whole card in FAT32. You can use "Paragon Partition Manager".

But after doing this, you cannot use the card in the mass storage mode. You will have to use samba/telnet or a card reader to transfer your files to/from the card.

And all this talk of 8gb slowing down the phone is rubbish. It depends on the card read/write speed and sdhc has faster read/write speeds than sd, so you won't notice any difference. Just that the real player scanning for media takes time (but that is to be expected) and the saving of photos from the camera also becomes a bit slow. I have almost 7gb data on my card and still I do not see any difference in the operating speed.

Ok.. I think that there is probably some other issue.
You see first I'd formatted the card outside using my laptop card reader in FAT32. So Ideally the FAT32 partition should have been recognised, But when I put the card back in the phone, it couldn't recognise the file system and asked for formatting. From what I understand, probably the issue is with the SDHC patch application.... orrr... I used HP USB Disk Storage format tool for the formatting. Will try with Paragin Partition Manager also. T

Nothing Happened... I used the Paragon partition manager to format the card but when I try to access the Card from the File manager inside the phone... I get the message 'Unformatted memory card! Do you want to format it?"

Thanks a lot dude... it finally worked. I think the key here is to ensure that windows recognizes the card as an 8 GB card after formatting and then change the ID using Paragon partition manager.

I have question for everyone in here who can bring me suggestion

after flashing with this SDHC firmware, my phone could not unzipping/unrar zip/rar file
and I can only install MPKG file, before flashing I can install MPKG & PKG file
By the way, I'm currently using Mrinal Mol_version Firmware

Why after flashing this firmware the phone can't be use to be a storage device with data cable?

could anybody can answer my question?
