How to remove unwanted icons??

Hey guys, I was using the R535H10_G_11.87.22P_NiK_RuLz firmware for quite a time. Today I flashed my phone again to a different firmware, and now I have still got the icons left for the applications from older firmware. I don't know how to get rid of those icons.

Have you restore your backup file of your previous firmware in new firmware....??

no. i don't do that. i backup just my contacts and calendar, using MPT. Plus I tried master reset too. If it is cuz of backup, it would have gone by Master clear. It is with the pre-installed applications only, which I guess is the issue with some file in ezx_user or usr folder. Not so sure though.

no. none of them are working. i have got two smartasst icon, one from previous version, and one I installed this time (new one doesn't have any super utility installed). also, power, and instheme are two more icons from previous firmware. i installed workingman's vr firmware too, just for a try. and the icons from that firmware are also in menu.

Try to replace your .system folder and reset and clear the phone at once

This applications are saved on your memory card.
Either format your mmc or just delete .system folder(its hidden) from the memory card.

pre-installed applications like google search and power, are in .system folder??? You must be kidding, man. Oh, by the way, I have checked the card registry in .system folder, it doesn't (and it shouldn't) contain the registry for the pre-installed apps. Registry for the apps that we install in memory card are saved in .system folder. For all other registry, there is a separate placein ezx_user folder. I knew the exact place some time back, but can't get to the same path now. It was a card registry file, a QTDownload folder somewhere in phone memory, just like in mmc.

try flashing with a generic firmware in modem mode.
Then flash with any firmware you want.

Connect the cell to pc,telnet,then search for the desired file,i guess the registry entries-file's in am folder.

may be its cuz no one really goes to a simpler modded firmware from a hybrid one. i guess its becuase i installed workingman's hybrid firmware which replaces much more cg's than a regular firmware. so, installing other firmware didn't replaced a few CG and any one of those unreplaced CG contains the application registry.
