    Default E6 camera problem

i have bought my e6 a few months back. But the camera's got a problem.

It works good outside or where there is sunlight. But when there is no sunlight the image turns gray (almost like black&white).

its like, you can see the the screen getting drained out of color if you turn the phone a fraction away from sunlight

    here are 2 pics

    pic 1
    pic 2

Is this normal... or is it a genuine product malfunction..

the pics are normal. because of a light source in vicinity, that greyish tint is visible. try using the camera with a bit less exposure to direct rays. also, try using "flouroscent" option instead of normal colour correction mode. still unsatisfied, try modding to a firmware with better camera quality or buy a digicam.

obviously.. plus only professional camera can meter the lighting in the scene correctly, if a light source is in the scene. u can try editing the pic later.

well, e6 also has got its own photo editor, which I find to be better at editing. A1600 version supports a lot of new functions, but sucks at jpeg quality. JPEG artifacts are quite visible in a1600 version. Better use PC photo editors like Gimp. Even auto correction works pretty well with those editors. If using Vista or Win7, try Windows Photo Gallery to Auto Correct the image. It is pretty good at the job, atleast better than phone editors.

    it is normal.
if you doesn't feel it normal so you do 1 thing ,while taking photo not in light ,just change the mode to NIGHT MODE .
You can add contrast to it by media editor.
