Hindi languge for E6??

can anyone provide me the files used by the other language packs, so that we can try and edit it to make it work for Hindi too. being more clear, there are options to choose language like chinese in the setup menu. Obviously that option will be editing some variables to load a different string file. i m not pretty sure about it, but if anyone can tell me the files used by those language packs, i can try editing them.

The thread link you posted was about the keyboard layout only. In the screenshots in that thread, the menu option was in english. Plus those guys never got the final result, it seems. I am unable to find the Hindi Keyboard Layout, if ever made. By the way, I was talking about changing the whole menu and the dailog boxes like the option in setup menu. Sorry for making it a bit confusing. Also, is it anyhow possible to install any language pack, using startup scripts? Or do we have to modify the codegroups for that???

but if we use those fonts can we atleast read marathi/hindi text.
atleast now reading is needed.
whole LP not possible i think.

The fonts will work, atleast according to the thread link posted by Konig. Never tried though, as I never ever gets a message in Hindi, and not even using the web browser on e6. Will try different fonts to see if they work.

As for LP, it is possible, though a whole lot of headache is there, considering we will have to patch a lot of CGs. I have got no idea about linux, so modding is a bit too problematic for me. May be someone can guide me, on how to get different CGs extracted from the phone, and how to edit them.

A lot of work has been done on hindi keyboard. Never gotta know about the final results of the work. will PM those members to know more about the status.

yep, fonts work. tried three different fonts. but only mangal.ttf (fonts folder in windows, any edition) works fine. others are not displayed correctly, with some characters missing.

no response from anyone for hindi keyboard yet......

you tried fonts it works?
& what missing can you tell?
upload those i dont have marathi/hindi fonts in pc.
please provide screenshot.

i will help you to create hindi keyboard(little try).
there are konig & other members to help to create this.

i found this working fine enuf, with all characters available. one more font i tried didn't had english characters, so was a waste.

also, any help regarding the lp or keyboard layout is welcome.

can u pm me the way to extract CG for chinese or english keypad, or a forum link describing so. as for nta's fingerpad, I am unable to edit that one. plus editing fingerpad is quite a work too.
