Touchscreen not working properly

Of late, touchscreen of my phone has kind of stopped responding.....become very slow.....but sometimes works as usual....Also, i had once installed an app which overclocks or underclocks the processor frequency....could it be bcoz of that?

Highly unlikely that it's because of that.

Actually, off late, even i'm facing some inconsistencies with my touchscreen. And i'm attributing it to these two possibilities:

A drastic change in the weather conditions recently.
My phone took a soft drop one of these days.


Rest assured, over clocking and underclocking should not affect the touchscreen of the phone in any way.

try doing screen calibration from setup, it may help you

It's not a calibration problem really.

Mine gives me a feeling that some parts of the screen are automatically being pressured, without me actually touching it.

Sometimes i see the right click menu come up by itself, sometimes i click on a button, the button looks to depress and come back, but doesn't actually respond (similar behavior if another part of the screen is touched and held down)

Maybe one of these days i'll deassemble it and check it out. Just dont have the time right now.

how old is your phone buddy, mine is 1yr old but it is not giving such problems

my experience is exactly similar to that of Xetaman's!!!!! everything same....hey Xetaman.....help me pal.....

my phone is 1.5 yrs old....and this prob has been there only for the last 3-4 days....otherwise i never had touchscreen problems....i also calibrated my screen but to no avail.....

i think its because u use too much oil in ure hair !!! the oil goes inside the screen and it can affect the screen (the thing is that when oil gets inside the screen, the touch layer pulls itself inside may be because of too much heat. u can see it in some bright light a layer of oil inside the screen ) ,,,,,,get it cleaned. or the other problem might be that u pressed it so hard that its keeps geting activated ........ this is my theory im not preety much sure about it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*I suggest you operate the touchscreen with completely dried hands once you get out of this problem or better still use the stylus.
I also handle the e6 touchscreen pretty roughly but I never had such problems.

Will suggest you something if I find a way.

well the oil issue might be right.....although i dont use much oil but i handle my e6 using my fingers only and rarely use the stylus......but the ques now is....how can i get my screen cleaned? do the service centre guys do it?

i also used to hve dis kind of problems i tried cleaning it didnt work just wen i reset d phone it use to work for 3 to 4 days
gave it to motorola ppl dey used to do reset thingi and used to say it worked fine..den i was just surfing for d problem got to dis site tried 3 to 4 modded firmware in some it use to mke it worst and in some it used to work properly for some time den i used nik's first time firmware & i am using dat firmware since 2 months never had any problems den again he released a new firmware so i tried installing dat firmware in dat it again strted giving prob so i went back to d old firmware
just try dis out it's weird i knw but it worked for me & i m having no wat so ever problem may dis help u...too
