Step By Step Guide

Hello Mates,
I am new to this forum and bought rokr e6 6 months back.I was not aware of this modding stuff.I thought i am restricted to use my rokr always as it come. But yesterday while googling i found this Great site and come to know that Yes i can customize my rokr as per my need.
Let me tell you i am noob for these stuffs.So please forgive me if i ask some already asked questions.
I searched in forum about modding my rokr e6,but confused by reading so many things. I request you to kindly guide me step by step (If possible with screenshot) for modding my rokr,I dont know about my firmware.
Please help me.

PS:- I want to mod my rokr, so that i can install games,applications and theames.

Welcome to motorolafans.
Lets get straight to the point. In case, you just need some new apps, apart from those pre-installed, get them from here... http://www.motorolafans.com/forums/e...s-e6-mano.html

its a step by step guide..... still if u need any help, just look for anyone here.

secondly, in case, u wanna try something really cool and new, u can try flashing (which obviously means upgrading) the firmware. but u may void the warranty, and considering that u are a newbie, the methods to get u out of trouble, just in case something went wrong, are fairly complex and confusing.

i will recommend you to just use the applications avaialble in the forum, and do not try using new firmware. wishing u luck...

well mate do i need to install both files MPKG and Linloader for installing applications,games?
Do i need to install both mpkg and linloader or anyone?

mpkg is the base all application are installed by mpkg installer, brother first read the guide i provided you will get to know what is mpkg installer

just install mpkg. no need to install linloader. for rest all application, just 'open with' mpkg installer. Its fairly easy.

Welcome to the forums.

Please take the time off to go through the stickies in the E6 forum. They tell you everything that's needed to know about your phone; and most of your questions will be answered there.

In fact, they're the Step-By-Step things you need to know.

Just as a side thought, MPKG will not work if your phone is on one of the later firmwares. Also, it cannot be "installed"; because there is no installer on your phone. The process described there involves replacing your .system folder on your memory card.

Again, read the stickies. Everything is there.
