Your f/w does not support pkg installation.

You must flash out of your f/w to a modded f/w that supports mpkg.

But my cell is under warranty i dont want to flash my cell now else i loose warranty...

There is no alternative.You have to flash.

if you are so afraid flash to .08p generic, it is the most stable and good

refer all this link, you will get generic f/w in first 2 links and 3rd one is a guide to flashing, read it carefully and then proceed.

I am afraid of loosing warranty.. I read in forum that .08P (you also recommend the same) is the best f/w for mpkg. But i dont want to mess my warranty,still 6 months remains.
Actually my rokr was not compatible with bsnl sim,and coz of warranty only service center dont charged but took 40 days to solve my issue.
anyways do i need mpkg for installing themes also or do i need another application for it?

MPKG is the base, you need it to install any pkg application.
