Corrupt recorded videos / Incomplete recording

Hi everyone. I'm really frustrated with my E6's video recorder. Every once in a while, the phone freezes when i try to save the recording and i have to restart the phone. It saves the video file but it does not show a thumbnail and the file cannot be played with any video player and i tried many. I can see the file has the content like 10-15 mb etc.

Is there any way i can recover or view these files? It's very important to me. Your help is very much appreciated.

hey what firmware are you using?when i was using .08p f/w ,this problem was with me also.so i just flashed my phone to other f/w(.22p by koing),now i am using it from 2-3 months and i didn't found such a problem.

The video that are corrupted that cannot be viewed or recoverd by anything,it's better to delete them.

it happen when you take video in night mode & you move your phone fast from here to there........

a buggy OS thats it...
Try Master Clear & Reset.
If not thn Flash it!

my phone never came across such problem, may be u should flash to some other f/w and see the result.

The files must be in .3gp format.

Transfer them to the PC and try to play in Quick Time player.

thanks for the answers. when i type www008w on dial screen a number comes up with .51r at the end. i guess this is the f/w version. maybe i should just upgrade it.

i tried to open the videos with at least ten different players on my pc. i tried video converters to no avail. i started messing with a hex editor to be able to edit the header and footer of the file, but have no idea where the header code ends and footer code starts. u can see how bad i want those vids, ones i shot during my bachelor party

anyone knows what a header and a footer would look like in a 3g2 video? thanks..
