E6 Phone lock problem[urgent]

It was working well a few days ago, then it suddenly stopped working. I, for some reason, took out the battery, and put it back in. Then, the phone wouldn't even switch on. A small 'lock' icon appears whenever I try to switch it on. What do I do? I am not worried about the lock (i can use iLock), I just want to switch the phone on once. How can I?

your side lock is locked that is why your phone is not switching ON, try to unlock the side lock if possible then switch it on, it will be fine.
if the lock does not get unlocked then take it to the service centre

Thanks for the help. As I said, the sidelock is NOT unlocking, so I can't do a thing. If I flash my phone's firmware, will the lock be unlocked?

no even if you flash it will not get unlocked, try again to unlock or then take it to service centre they will do something=

Is the sidelock messed up? Just use a pin to take out the lock, then use your stylus to move the lock into the unlock position.
Flashing will not fix this problem.

Oo Dude it worked! Now I just have to put iLock or a similar app. Which do you recommend?

All do the work equally well. I'd recommend a native one, qeilock or slocker

Hmm...I've heard that these consume a lot of battery power. Which one consumes the least?

if you want to compare then slocker will consume less then qeilock, but both consumes very less battery for me, i personally like qeilock
