Help for making firmware

plese someone help me and give guide or tutorial for making firmware.i use ezxcodec.i can change wallpaper,ringtone,theme.i can add telnet support,can add startup script,
but i cannot change the name of category (ex user1 and user2)i cannot add application in the f/w,and now i used 09p i deleted pinyin and zhuyin keyboard,but when i reflash and open it,the thai board is appears,how can i deleted it?
and how to deleted the sreen3?because in myu country the screen3 its not support so it useless if the screen3 available.

please someone help me and make the guide and tutorial for it.thank u

maybe you should try using workingman's as the base... then take out what you don't need.

any idea how to add traditional chinese handwriting from gen.08p to workingman's FW??

If you want to keep windows, try an "hexeditor"
(i don't know the "dd" command equivalent on windows) then you'll be able to cut the header, so your cramfs image will comply to the standard cramfs format. (generally the header is 1024, or 2048, or 4096 octets long , wich correspond to 400 , 800, and 1000, respectively, in hexadecimal numbers )

For advanced tasks, I found these tools i attached, (they come from orkie a well known gp2x hacker).
You could maybe have fun with manually editing CG's But of course ezxcodec have this function. it can be usefull sometime when ezxcodec cannot do the automatic work...

Ah, sorry, if i have been too much general, ... I only read the beginning of the question...
Well, in fact i can't answer so much on your question, i just know whiteming, as a russian fw, is probably interesting for handwriting in a particular alphabet... i think gizmodo is also very well documented and russian too, so why not?
I know yan0 did some nice hacks on his rootfs, and shared them, i think he is chinese, so probably all the necessary bits are in his fw.
btw, i'm a noob concerning mods on EZX motorola's os.... So i cannot really help you much more.
