Not able to install application on my e6

Hi,

i am having problems in installing apps.

for the record, i have the below already installed in my mobile -
MPKG installer
Loader
Busybox
ShowQ

(though i am not sure what each package does. it came with the MPKG installer's '.system' folder)

I had copied the .pkg file of the application in the root directory of my SD card. and when i tried to install it , i got the below error -
'Invalid application file. The file cannot be used.'

can anyone help me please?

Welcome to motorolafans.com

That means your firmware does not support pkg installation.

You must flash to a modded firmware to enable pkg's on your phone and use the above mentioned applications; that are used to run pkg's.

if u r opening .pkg file first time den:
1>hold stylus on *.pkg file till popup window comes.
2>select open wid mpkg n tick on 'always open with'

Shafii's right, you should hold the stylus down for a while to pop up a windows and select open with. It is not the firmware problem, since I used to use 02P and I can install all the PKG program with Smart Assisstant....
