I use the Startup lin to change my boot sound to windows during the boot, u can also use autorun folder too, seach in forum.

use autorun folder with startup script serch in forums u will get it just put it in ur memory card with autorun folder and start up script came with it and put the desired sound file in the autorun folder and restart the phone u will get it.. and autorun folder has 3 folders in it ie fonts.sound.animation put the desired font sound and animation in the desired folder and restart the phone u will get wat u want .....my start up sound is of vista boot image same as of xp....

Since your f/w suggests you have a f/w with autorun folder,
just put the desired tone in the autorun folder and name it startup.wav (must be in .wav format).

Restart.

If you still have problems with it, use the following code in the startup.txt

mount --bind /mmc/mmca1/startup.wav /usr/data_resource/phone/ui_start_up_mono.wav

Then keep a file called startup.wav in the root of the memory card and restart the phone

but i hv tried hard to use autorun & startup.txt but still m not able to change startup tone n it seems to me dat autorun n startup r not working in my phone.

i hv put autorun folder in: mmca1/autorun and startup txt in: mmca1/startup.txt . i hv also tried startup1.txt in place of startup.txt up still its not working

is there any other way to change startup tone ??? i.e. Manipulating phone's System file via telnet.
