    Default E6 USB problems

    Hi all,

Sorry to post this in case its redundant, but i could not find a thread that could help me out with this problem.

Got problems in connecting my phone (E6) to the PC. neither the USB drivers work, nor the MPT is able to connect to my phone.

What could be the problem, and how can it be solved? i have tried with the latest USB drivers as well.

    any help is appreciated.

    Are you using Xp SP2?

If yes then start pc in safe mode and uninstall all drivers .
    Restart normally and then reinstall.
Do not use MPT 5.0.Use the one provided with your phone.

    Does the mass storage work?

When did this begin to happen?

Post recent changes you made to your phone.

Tried this, but did not help, the mass storage is not working at all.

This started happening recently. There were no changes in the phone. Only thing that i can think of is that recently the phone fell down and i really struggled to get it working. had to do 3-4 resets, then removal and insertion of the memory card.

Thanks for your support guys, finally i managed to get things working. Their was a compatibility problem between the MPT version and the USB driver version (that is what i felt). I had the original version of my MPT and the latest USB driver, and it was not working. As soon as i downloaded the latest patch for the MPT, i was able to connect my phone.

    Thanks to all.
