vs

both support avi ( thank for eric's sample video, nice girl , mp4 and flv format well enough, poor support for rm/rmvb ( mplayer plays my sample rm/rmvb files with sound, sometimes normal, sometimes like a beep, but no video, qezxplayer declares no support for rm/rmvb format. I think built-in realplayer is the best choise for rm/rmvb and also in most case 3gp, mp4 format ).

qezxplayer supports flv, mplayer doesn't play my sample flv file well( only sound, no video ).

qezxplayer's file browser support unicode file( non-latin, etc. east-acia character set ) name, while in mplayer's file browser displayed in a mess. qezxplayer's file browser filtered the file format that it can not support well, so cannot open a rm/rmvb file from qezxplayer ( try change the file name to **.avi? )

Both have dealt with the case of an incoming call ( sms not tested ) while playing. qezxplayer can automatically return to main page, but can only answer or deny the call through hard key. mplayer keeps playing when a call is coming

IMO, the advantages mplayer has over qezxplayer 2.0 are:
- 'open with' directly from native file manager supported, while qezxplayer can't

- can adjust brightness and contras level through hard key easily, while qezxplayer can't ( maybe need a keyboard configuration file? )

- can open and play without a bug, though both of them still not work like a charm dealing with an incoming call or message while playing. qezxplayer are frequently reported for its vulnerability of launching ( often cannot be opened or just quit while tap on its main page ). Here's a strange solution that may work, feedback appreciated.
