I need screen3

Hey. I run .09 generic firmware, that does not have Screen3 anywhere in setup. However I found /usr/SYSqtapp/dynamicidle and such - it contains interresting files, such as "newsreader". But I am unable to run it, nothing happens. I tried replacing (mount --bind) am, systemsetup and a bunch of other files - no luck, nothing changes.
Does anyone know what files are needed to turn on screen3? And how?

Or if I really need to reflash, would anyone suggest good firmware (NO MONSTER PACKS! Only trimmed down or generic!) ? Preferably .09, but .08 will do fine. The firmware has to support Screen3 and native programs, of course.

As for getting it into a firmware, you will most probably have to play around with the flexbit cfg file

Hm, so could anyone post his ezx_flexbit.cfg file (who has working screen3)? I'll compare to mine. Apparently, there is no good list of bits I could use to hack things... just one for A780, but it doesn't seem to change anything.

Why dont you do one thing mate? Download the .08p, and take out the flexbit from there,then mount bind it. if it doesnt work, flash to .08p anyway

He, he. I am downloading 08 now, but on my shitty internet (it's through gsm->gprs, no other net available in my area) so it'll take hours.

Thanks, but it didn't help (screen3 shown in setup, but after turning on -> save, it goes back to off). I already patched to .08
Thanks for your replies. Now trying to make it work with custom RSS feeds, not that crappy, operator-dependant thing.
