Default question about users for telnetting.. and some others..

so, i have manage to telnet to my E6, and with curiosity, i play around with it a little bit.

as i'm currently logging in with 'root' and no password, i did notice that some files are created by user with the name of 'ezx'. erm.. i was wondering, can we log-in with this 'ezx' user? and what the password might be?

anyway, i did try to call up a program manually. to be exact, i try to run "/usr/SYSqtapp/windowsserver/animation". with root permission, i should not have any problem with it, right? but i keep getting this "Cannot find font definition file /usr/local/qt-embedded/lib/fonts/fontdir - is $QTDIR set correctly?" error.

I tried "echo $QTDIR" but what i have is just blank. hm.. any idea guys? do i need to include any other command to execute this module manually?

Oh ya, i also tried to start up the camera application with the same step.. no luck. same error.

I use ssh so my environment is set up automatically. I think you need to source the .profile file with telnet.

    Type:
    . /home/native/.profile

The users and passwords are encrypted and kept in /etc/passwd

My FW has 12345 in the encrypted password field for user "ezx" in /etc/passwd

The root user is unix god and can change all user passwords with the passwd command.

Try the ps -ax command. It may show several windowsserver processes running. What is windowsserver?

    Hi,
Not sure if this goes with the topic, but would like to backup my messages to the computer, is there any particular folder that i can find using telnet that i can copy from the mobile, and then later paste it if i have to restore?
