    Default RSDLite Question..

In the instruction for flashing your phone, one of the steps say to:

"Start up RSDLite on your PC. You may be asked to install a number of drivers (5 or 6) to your PC. Point it in the direction to the motpcsdrivers folder you unrared."

I have tried 2 different versions of RSDLite and I never get the pop up to install any drivers..? Do I need those drivers (MotPCSDrivers) to be able to flash my E6? Or just don't worry about it? Thanks for any help.

Also, does my USB mode need to be set to MASS STORAGE before RSDLite will detect the phone?

1st of all - USB mode should be switched to <Modem> - most probably this is the reason it never asked you for drivers when you connected handset and started RSD lite.
Secondly if you connect the phone to USB (without starting RSD lite) it's not necessarily prompt you to install drivers at all, or may prompt to install only few components. Once you start RSD lite these prompts will rain like hell. (LOL, manual says about 8 components - I do remember more than 10 - but it can depend on the driver version though.)
Another hint - do not try to start flashing before all components are accurately installed - my 1st flashing attempt failed namely because of this.
And one more thing - make sure you use Windows XP SP2 on your PC
    - I never heard about successfull flashing on Vista - thanks to motomaster - this is the 1st time I do from him.
    - Windows XP SP1 may lack some generic drivers too (I'm not sure though)

    Hope that helps!

1.I flashed 6 times successfully using windows vista. So pls analyse before making an opinion.
2.it has nothing to do with Sp1 or Sp2 .use whatever you have but the drivers must be installed.
3.Download motorola self installing drivers and install them.
    4.Reinstall RSd lite.
5.Start phone in MBM mode . Do not worry about the mode setting.
6.Then RSD lite will not ask for drivers and an error may come up saying " the device did not install properly and may not work".Ignore the warning and proceed with flashing.

    CHARGE YOUR BATTERY COMPLETELY.
